WHAT IS NORDIC WALKING?
Nordic Walking is a Finnish-originated form of total-body exercise. Originally known as Sauvakävely (Finnish), it is a version of walking that can be done both by non-athletes as a health-promoting physical activity and by athletes as a sport.

WALKING POLES
Nordic Walking was first devised as a training method for ski athletes who were deprived of snow during "off-snow periods". Initially using ski poles to walk and keep up with their training, Nordic Walking has evolved greatly to today's modern version of the exercise, utilising specially designed walking poles that are similar to the ski poles used previously.

Nordic Walking activates 80% of your muscle groups than normal walking (50%), allowing for more efficient and effective calorie-burning processes, up to 67% more, according to a study conducted by Harvard Medical School.

Nordic Walking also allows for efficient fat loss, lowering levels of bad cholesterol as well.
